Virtual Doula Service
As a birth doula, I firmly believe that education and continual support are fundamental keys to building confident parents in the lead up to, during and after the birth of their child. However circumstance doesn’t always allow access to these important factors. This package is a convenient service for parents to be who are searching for that education and continual support, but perhaps would prefer to have their own space in the birthing suite, live in an area that isn’t serviced by a local doula or would prefer to spend less on doula services while still receiving that vital education and support.
Modern technology has changed the way we communicate, and as someone who enjoys the evolution technology has created I am proud to offer this package, which gives me the chance to offer my support and guidance to birthing parents whom might not otherwise receive this support.
What I can Offer you as your Virtual Doula:

A free “Get to know you session” arranged via skype or facetime.

Welcome package containing educational resources on pregnancy, birth support and beyond

24/7 On-Call support from 21 weeks until 4 weeks postpartum via phone/text/direct message

Prenatal Planning session via skype/facetime to go over your hopes for your birth and talk through your options (preferable if your partner can be included in this session). We’ll also discuss any fears you may have surrounding birth and any past experiences (if you have them)

2 Skype/Facetime Support Coaching sessions where we will go through pain coping techniques as well as verbal coaching techniques

Full 24/7 phone call availability during labour to answer questions and help with birthing options, including determining when to go to hospital/birth centre if you’re unsure.

2 postpartum sessions via skype/facetime discussing birth story, feelings surrounding the birth, breastfeeding and sleep support.
What I Don’t do as your Virtual Doula:

Tell you which way to birth

Judge you on the way you want to birth

Offer medical advice

Meet in person or come to your birth in person
